My Skills and Education

Areas of Expertise:

I am an accounting major, so naturally my expertise is in accounting-related topics and also some finance and business. In addition to accounting, I have taken several management information classes, so I have acquired some skills in coding, web design, and databases.

Accounting Tutoring

As a soon to be graduate, I will have valuable skills and experience that I can use to help younger students. I will offer tutoring for a number of accounting courses, including but not limited to: Introduction to Financial Accounting, Audit, Accounting Information Systems, Forensic Accounting, Cost Accounting, and Tax.

Microsoft excel

One of the tools I use most often in my studies is Microsoft Excel. Because of this, I've gotten good at using Excel. I am proficient in making pivot tables, charts & graphics, and using advanced formulas.

QuickBooks Online

QuickBooks Online is a cloud-based accounting software. I learned how to use this software during my internship at Wilke CPAs and Advisors. QuickBooks has many features, but I mainly used it for managing client's payments and reconciliations.

Oracle NetSuite

Oracle NetSuite is another accounting software I have experience with. NetSuite is a cloud-based ERP and accounting software. For my accounting systems class, I had to use this software all year. I used NetSuite for things such as managing payroll, paying invoices, reconciliations, and much more.

Intuit TurboTax

TurboTax is a software for preparing tax returns. Admittedly I am still a bit of a novice with this software. I used TurboTax for multiple projects in my Federal Income Tax class. For each project, I was given a client and information about them, and had to prepare a tax return for them.

Teamwork skills

Unlike the others listed, this is not e technical skill, but it might be the most important skill I've gained in the past few years. Whether it was in college, internships, or summer jobs, I've had many experiences working in groups of all sizes. Because of this, I've learned how to communicate well and compromise with others in order to complete the tasks at hand.
